Kicking Off An Exciting New Partnership with the Premier League

Today, we’re delighted to introduce the Premier League as the newest member of our Comcast NBCUniversal SportsTech partnership consortium.
The Premier League joins our portfolio of sports organizations, including NBC Sports, NASCAR, PGA TOUR, Sky Sports, and WWE®, as strategic advisors that will support the selection of startups for the fourth cohort (and beyond) currently open to applicants.
Fresh off an exciting season during which more than 15 million fans watched 380 matches and 1,084 show-stopping goals, Premier League, the organizing body of the English Premier League and the highest level of English football, will leverage its global brand as startups and founders worldwide turn to the U.S. market to advance their products.
“Through our first three cohorts, we noticed that more than one-third of startup teams applying are international and often looking to break into the U.S. market to further accelerate their business success,” said Jenna Kurath, Vice President of Startup Partnerships and Head of Comcast NBCU SportsTech. “The Premier League, with its expansive footprint, global fanbase, and incredible leadership, will be a wonderful asset to our startups and their experience in the program.”

One of the most significant benefits for the founders in the SportsTech program is ongoing engagement with our partners, forming deep relationships, and receiving industry advice that translate into meaningful, measurable business results. Since our first class in 2021, our alumni have participated in 103 partnerships, pilots, and commercial deals with our consortium partners.
The pilots and commercial deals allow our partners to tap into innovative solutions that help sporting leagues and professional teams exceed business goals, promote their brands, drive fan engagement, and secure championships.

Peacock and NBC Sports will serve as the exclusive U.S. media home of the Premier League Summer Series — the first ever Premier League-hosted pre-season tournament in the United States — featuring nine live matches across nine days beginning Sat., July 22.
