USA Cycling is the national governing body for the sport of cycling and oversees the disciplines of road, track, mountain bike, cyclocross, and BMX. With a mission to develop the sport of cycling in the United States and to achieve sustained international racing success, USA Cycling supports cyclists at all levels. We want to provide our athletes with the best tools and resources to perform at the highest level and to help us identify potential national team athletes. We are always looking for new ways to engage our current members and future fans.

Jim Miller
Chief of Elite Athletics, USA Cycling
Jim recently returned to USA Cycling in March 2020, but was previously with the organization for 17 years. In between, Jim worked at TrainingPeaks for 2 years and is excited to implement the data-focused approach to his new role at USA Cycling. He will coordinate riders, coaches and staff to maximize performance across disciplines for its athlete development programs. The timing is significant as he rejoins the team just ahead of the Tokyo Olympic Games and the upcoming round of rider selections. He has already helped the United States earn 14 Olympic medals and numerous world championship titles since 2001.

Jamie Staff
High Performance Director, USA Cycling
Jamie, an Olympic Gold Medalist for Great Britain in 2008, raced for 20 years in BMX and 7 years on the track before turning to coaching. He has been working with USA Cycling since 2010. At the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, under Jamie’s direction, USA Cycling’s BMX program won its first Gold medal, a Silver medal, and recorded two 4th place finishes. Now, Jamie continues to work with our BMX Racing program and the recent addition of BMX Freestyle heading into the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Team & Coach Success
The coach-player relationship is Increasing development around advanced applications, sensors, and wearables is allowing teams to understand, track, and analyze player performance like never before. In addition, new AR/VR applications are helping teams train and video analytics can track and improve play. Predictive decision-making software is greatly changing the way teams are managed and organized.
